About Timo
Timo Salzsieder is CIO of Müller, the German drugstore and retail group based in Ulm, and since April 2026 a member of its management board. He joined in April 2025 to take over IT. His remit includes merchandise management and till systems, IT governance and the use of AI across the company, for a group with around 35,500 employees and more than 900 stores.
Before Müller he spent more than seven years at METRO. He joined in March 2017 as Chief Solution Officer and CIO of METRO Cash & Carry and later also ran Metronom, the group's technology unit, until 2024.
His earlier career ran through digital and travel businesses. From 2010 he was CIO and CTO of Tomorrow Focus, and from 2015 COO of HolidayCheck Group, responsible for product development, IT and customer experience. Before that he worked at Payback and on the management board of arvato services within Bertelsmann.
