Google

Google is a technology company and a subsidiary of Alphabet. In 2004 it opened its first engineering hub outside the United States in Zurich.

In 2022 Google officially opened its campus at Europaallee in Zurich, parts of which it had used since 2019. At the time about 5,000 people from more than 80 countries worked for Google in Zurich. According to a 2024 report, former employees of Google Switzerland have founded 115 startups.

The Europaallee campus also serves as a venue for outside organisers, for example for Retail Tech Innovation, a conference on technology in retail.
