Zoltán Gyenge

Zoltán Gyenge is counsel at Rentsch Partner AG and a European patent attorney and European Patent Litigator. A computer scientist by training, he works on patents in electrical, computer and information technology, above all on computer-implemented inventions. His fields include system control, computer-aided surgery, diagnostic systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity and blockchain.

Gyenge holds a BSc in computer science and wrote his diploma thesis on hybrid web service architectures. He began his career at an IP law firm in the Zurich area and qualified as a professional representative before the European Patent Office in 2011. He then worked in-house as patent counsel at a Swiss medical diagnostics company, where he was the specialist for software-related inventions. He joined Rentsch Partner in January 2020.

He is a member of the artificial intelligence section of Swiss Engineering and writes for the firm's blog on topics such as freedom to operate and the risk of disclosing an invention before filing.
