
About Tizia
Tizia Schimmer is an associate at Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich. Her practice focuses on competition law, internal investigations and competition-related litigation.
She joined the firm as a trainee lawyer in 2021, was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2024 and became an associate the same year. Before that she worked in Brussels, first as a trainee at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition in 2019 and 2020 and then as a legal consultant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
She studied law at the University of Zurich, with a bachelor's in 2017 and a master's in 2019, and holds an LL.M. from King's College London. In 2018 she published an article in the journal recht on whether the geoblocking practices of streaming services are compatible with competition law. She co-authored the Swiss chapter of the Kluwer Competition Law Blog's review of developments in 2025.
