Thomas Gutberlet has been managing director and COO of Tante Enso since December 2025, responsible for operations. The Bremen-based company, founded in 2016, runs cooperatively organised mini-supermarkets in rural areas that are open around the clock. It had more than 80 stores at the end of 2025 and aims for 300 by 2030.
Gutberlet spent more than 26 years in the management of the German food retailer tegut…. He joined in 1998 after marketing and sales roles at dm-drogerie markt and Nestlé, sat on the executive board first for finance and accounting and from 2002 for assortment and marketing, and led the company as CEO from 2009 to 2024. He stayed in that role after Migros Zurich took over tegut… in 2013 and helped develop its small-store formats, including tegut… teo.
Since 2026 he has also run the Fulda franchise of the consulting and training firm Cormens.
