About Tatjana
Tatjana Xenia Puhan is Head of Asset Allocation and a Managing Director at Swiss Re in Zurich. She took on the role in May 2024. She also teaches as adjunct faculty at the Chair of International Finance at the University of Mannheim.
Before Swiss Re she was Chief Investment Officer at Copernicus Wealth Management, and Managing Director and Deputy CIO at TOBAM in Paris. Earlier she headed equities and asset allocation for third-party asset management at Swiss Life Asset Managers.
Puhan earned her PhD in finance at the Swiss Finance Institute and the University of Zurich in 2014, with a research stay at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Her work on asset allocation, liquidity and asset pricing has appeared in the Financial Analysts Journal, the Review of Finance and the Journal of Financial Stability. Since 2024 she has been on the editorial board of the Financial Analysts Journal. She is also a research fellow of the Hamburg Financial Research Center.
