Stefano Cozza

Stefano Cozza is co-founder and CEO of Planeto, a Geneva company that builds software for planning district heating and cooling networks. He is an energy engineer with a PhD in environmental science, specialised in the energy efficiency of buildings.

He founded Planeto in 2023 with Jonathan Chambers and Xiang Li. Its tool TESSA, short for Thermal Energy System Simulation Assistant, builds network models from building geodata, building physics and algorithms, and helps engineers check where renewable sources fit and whether a network pays off. It is sold as a subscription to energy utilities and engineering firms. The team now has seven people.

In December 2023 Planeto received CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick. Cozza was also a fellow of BRIDGE, the joint programme of the Swiss National Science Foundation and Innosuisse.
