About Sébastien
Sébastien Nusslé is co-founder and CEO of Genknowme, a Lausanne company that develops epigenetic blood tests showing how lifestyle affects biological age. Healthcare professionals use the tests, and in 2024 the company launched one that measures the impact of chronic stress. Genknowme is a CHUV spin-off based at Biopôle Lausanne, co-founded with Semira Gonseth Nusslé.
The company won Venture Kick in 2020, received support from the Biopôle Start-up Fund and raised CHF 500,000 from a strategic investor in 2025. Its tests are reimbursed by the supplementary insurer KPT.
Nusslé is a scientist by training. He earned a PhD in biostatistics at the University of Lausanne and did postdoctoral research at the University of Bern and UC Berkeley, studying how genes and environment interact in fish populations. Before Genknowme he directed the Swiss Fisheries Advisory Office and was a senior manager at a large Swiss environmental consulting firm.
