
About Mathias
Mathias Imbach is co-founder and group CEO of Sygnum, a digital asset bank with a Swiss banking licence from FINMA and a capital markets services licence in Singapore. He co-founded the company in 2017 with Luka Müller-Studer, Manuel Krieger and Gerald Goh. It has since grown from a team of four and reached unicorn status.
Before Sygnum he was general manager of RNT Associates, the personal investment platform of Ratan N. Tata. He was its first team member and led venture capital and private equity investments, including in blockchain and distributed ledger technology. He began his career at Bain & Company, advising private equity funds, family offices and technology companies.
Imbach holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
