About Markus
Markus Streckeisen is president of the Schweizerische Management Gesellschaft (SMG) and has run his own firm, Streckeisen Consulting AG, since 2021. He holds board mandates in mobility, logistics, real estate, retail and hospitality, and in 2026 he became chairman of Olma Messen St.Gallen and of the Zürichsee-Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (ZSG).
Before going independent he worked for about 30 years at SBB. At SBB Immobilien he led property development projects, managed the Basel and Zurich main stations as centre manager and was head of property management for seven years. In 2018 he moved to SBB Cargo as chief transformation officer, became head of sales in 2019 and served on the executive board as deputy CEO until 2021.
Streckeisen holds an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen. He leads the MAS in Real Estate Management at HWZ and has sat on the board of the Swiss Council of Shopping Places since 2011.
