About Manuel
Manuel Klein is head of market management for payments and digital currencies at Deutsche Bank. Within the Corporate Bank's cash management division he is responsible for innovation in cross-border payments and for digital currencies such as central bank digital currencies, tokenised deposits and stablecoins. In 2025 he co-authored a Deutsche Bank paper on the digital euro with James von Moltke and Katharina Paust-Bokrezion.
He joined Deutsche Bank in 2022 and initially worked as product manager for blockchain solutions and digital currencies. Before that he was a senior consultant for blockchain in financial services at EY and, earlier, an asset management consultant at FactSet.
Klein has worked on alternative monetary systems and digital money since 2015. He holds a master's degree in strategy and finance.
