About Hana
Hana Samet is co-founder and chief technology officer of TheraMe!, a spin-off of EPFL's Laboratory of Biomedical Microfluidics. The company was founded in 2023, is based on the Biopole campus in Lausanne and develops a diagnostic platform for personalised cancer therapy.
TheraMe!'s microfluidic chips test several drugs on a patient's own tumour cells from a single biopsy, so that doctors can see which therapy is likely to work before treatment starts. Its lead product is TheraMeDx1. Since 2025 the company has been developing an instrument with CSEM in two industrial projects. TheraMe! is led by chairman and CEO Klaus Pflum.
Samet holds a master's degree in microengineering from EPFL. As a student she was part of the nine-member EPFL team that won the Grand Prize in the overgraduate division of the iGEM competition in 2019 with the ViTEST project.
