Gabriel Schweizer

Gabriel Schweizer is Head of Foreign Trade Policy and Life Sciences at the Basel Chamber of Commerce (Handelskammer beider Basel). He leads the chamber's advocacy and stakeholder work on international trade and the life sciences and represents the interests of the region's exporters and its pharmaceutical and biotech clusters.

His background spans investment promotion, relations with China and public affairs. In 2013 he became managing director of the China Business Platform, which the Basel-Stadt office for economy and labour set up at Technologiepark Basel together with the economic promotion agency of the canton of Jura.

In his role at the chamber he works with industry, policymakers and universities on Switzerland's competitiveness in trade and innovation.
