About Gabriel

Gabriel Bourquin is Head of Tax and Head of Romandie at the Swiss Bankers Association, where he coordinates the expert commission on tax.

A lawyer by training, he studied at the universities of Neuchâtel and Bern and was admitted to the Zurich bar in 2013. He earned his doctorate at the University of Zurich in 2017. His thesis on tax money laundering in relation to direct taxes appeared as a book with Carl Grossmann. In 2019 he qualified as a Swiss certified tax expert.

He worked in the tax team of Loyens & Loeff in Zurich before joining the Swiss Bankers Association as senior tax analyst. He has written on the OECD's Pillar One and Pillar Two and has commented publicly on Swiss legislation on trusts.
