David Meier

David Meier leads industrial automation technology at Gritec, the Swiss engineering and special machine building company with sites in Grüsch and Kriens, and heads a team there. He specialises in automation projects, simulation and new automation solutions, including vision systems and automated inline inspection.

He studied mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich, where he earned his master's degree, and gained his first industrial experience in an internship at Bosch. He joined Gritec in 2013 as a developer straight after his studies, moved into the management team within two years and later led the company's innovation work.

Gritec describes itself as a single point partner covering engineering, process development, equipment manufacturing, automation and special machinery. Its own products include MASIRA, an inline inspection system for medical consumables.
