Clemens Wögerbauer

Clemens Wögerbauer is Head of Advanced Decarbonization Projects at Holcim, where he develops and scales new decarbonisation solutions for the group. Before that he was Chief Sustainability Officer of Holcim (Schweiz) AG for the Central Europe West region, with a focus on decarbonisation and the circular economy.

Earlier he held commercial and sustainability roles at Holcim Switzerland. In 2023 he presented Susteno, a cement made with recycled construction waste, at the BAU trade fair in Munich as Head of Commercial. In August 2024, as Head Commercial and Sustainability, he announced a partnership with KIBAG and the start-up Oxara to bring a lower-carbon cement alternative to the Swiss market. At Holcim's Impact Day in September 2025 he spoke about low-carbon EcoPact products and carbon capture, utilisation and storage.

His view is that the construction industry will only become circular and low-carbon through innovation, strong partnerships and solutions that work at industrial scale.
