
About Christof
Christof Roduner is one of the three founders of Scandit, the Zurich company that builds software for scanning barcodes and text with smartphones and other devices. He set it up in 2009 with Samuel Mueller and Christian Floerkemeier and serves as CIO and VP Engineering, in charge of software development and the engineering and research organisation. In 2022 Scandit raised USD 150 million in a round led by Warburg Pincus, at a valuation of more than USD 1 billion.
Before Scandit he did research on the Internet of Things at ETH Zurich and MIT and co-founded Fosstrak, an open-source platform for RFID software. Earlier he had founded and run a CRM company and headed internet operations at a Zurich IT firm.
Roduner holds a PhD in computer science from ETH Zurich and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Zurich. He completed his bachelor's studies in computer science and business administration at the University of Zurich and Uppsala University.
