Christian Spindler is co-founder and CEO of Sustainaccount, a company based in Uetikon am See near Zurich that he set up in 2021 with Chiara Rinaldi. He also chairs its board. Sustainaccount's software assesses physical climate risks such as flooding, heat and drought for real assets, in line with frameworks including the EU Taxonomy, TCFD and CSRD.
Before Sustainaccount he was a senior researcher at ABB and senior manager for IoT and machine learning at PwC, and he co-founded 42scientific.
Spindler holds a PhD in physics and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen. He trains finance professionals on financial climate risk as a course director with Informa Connect.
