Brian Livingstone

Brian Livingstone is co-founder and CEO of Liquid, a personal finance app for young adults in Switzerland that he started in 2025 with Yanic Besson while both were studying at FHNW. Liquid pulls several bank accounts together through open banking via SIX bLink, sorts spending automatically and shows it visually. Streaks, challenges and rewards are meant to make managing money a habit. The app runs on iOS and Android.

In 2025 Liquid received a CHF 50,000 First Ventures grant from the Gebert Rüf Stiftung, won first place at the FHNW Startup Challenge and was admitted to the three-year coaching programme of genisuisse Aargau.

Livingstone studies international management at the FHNW School of Business. Before that he worked at Findea, at the tax administration of Klingnau and in the Swiss Army.
