About Alexander
Alexander Ringsdorff is co-founder and CEO of ShopAgentic, which he started in late 2025. The company, based in Hannover with teams in Berlin and Amsterdam, builds an agentic commerce system: a team of specialised AI agents that each handle one commerce task, from the product catalogue and pricing to customer service and order fulfilment. In 2026 it raised a pre-seed round of EUR 1.9 million, co-led by May Ventures and Greenfield Capital.
Ringsdorff has built e-commerce companies for more than two decades. In 2003 he built CreditSMS, an SMS payment system later acquired by a T-Mobile subsidiary. He then led the e-commerce agency Visions new media, which joined the SinnerSchrader group in 2011, and headed digital product management and strategy at Libri. In 2012 he co-founded the mobile commerce platform CouchCommerce, which Stephan Schambach acquired in 2015.
That year he co-founded NewStore with Schambach and served as vice president of corporate development in Boston, responsible for partnerships, investor relations and M&A. At ShopAgentic he works again with Kai-Thomas Krause, a colleague from his time at Visions.
