
About Adrian
Adrian Locher is co-founder and general partner of Merantix Capital, the Berlin investor that backs AI companies. He co-founded Merantix in Berlin in 2016 with Rasmus Rothe and founded the Merantix AI Campus, a non-profit hub for the city's AI community. In 2026 Merantix Capital closed a EUR 103 million fund for AI start-ups.
Before Berlin he was an entrepreneur in Switzerland. In 2010 he co-founded the online deals platform DeinDeal. Ringier became its majority owner in 2011, and Locher stayed on as chief revenue officer until the end of 2015. He also founded Altoida, which develops digital tools for neurocognitive assessment.
Locher studied business and economics at the University of St. Gallen. He has chaired START, the St. Gallen student organisation for entrepreneurship.
