About University of St.Gallen
The University of St.Gallen (HSG) is a public university in eastern Switzerland. It teaches and researches management, economics, law, social sciences, international affairs and computer science. Under cantonal law it is a public-law institution with its own legal personality.
Its history began in 1898, when the cantonal parliament decided to found an academy for trade, transport and administration. Teaching started in 1899. The university holds the EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditations.
Entrepreneurship is a field of its own at HSG, with support from the first idea through incubation to acceleration. Start-ups and spin-offs can be certified with an HSG label. The university's Institute for SMEs and Entrepreneurship (KMU-HSG) organises the VR-Symposium for board members of SMEs together with OBT.
