
About University of Basel Innovation Office
The Innovation Office is the University of Basel's hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. Founded in 2017, it is based at the Innovation Garage in Allschwil near Basel.
It supports students and researchers who want to start a company. Its programmes include Innosuisse training, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, a Circular Startup Challenge, a Propelling Grant, SPARK Western Switzerland, a female entrepreneurship programme and a Start-up Law Clinic. One of its courses, on innovation in green chemistry and circular life sciences, runs in partnership with BaselCircular and the Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry.
Regular formats include a weekly open hour, a monthly pitching afterwork, workshops and the Role Model Talks. It is also one of the organisers of the Startup Weekend Basel.
