Swiss Biotech Association

The Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) represents the interests of the biotech industry in Switzerland. Founded in 1998, it is a non-profit, member-driven association based in Zurich. In January 2025 it had 561 members.

The association works for good framework conditions and for better access to talent, new technologies and capital. It publishes the Swiss Biotech Report together with partners such as EY. It also hosts the Swiss Biotech Day, which in 2026 took place in Basel with more than 3,500 participants from 58 countries.

The SBA Academy offers courses and workshops with academic and industry partners, for example on building a life sciences company.
