Solcept

Solcept is a Swiss engineering firm that develops electronics, firmware and software on behalf of its clients. Founded in 2003, Solcept AG is based in Wetzikon in the Canton of Zurich.

The company covers the whole product development cycle, from specification, effort estimates and prototypes through software, electronics and mechanical design to validation, production launch and maintenance. Its specialities are functional safety, cybersecurity and the industrialisation and certification of products. Solcept is certified to ISO 9001 and, since 2023, to ISO 13485 for medical devices, and carries the Swiss Made Software label.

In 2026 its website listed more than 300 completed projects, for industries including automation, medical technology, aerospace, automotive, rail and access control. Clients named there include Hamilton Medical, ANYbotics, Franke, maxon and ETH Zurich. Between 2017 and 2024 Solcept engineers spoke almost every year at the ESE Kongress, and also at the Embedded Computing Conference.
