Schweizerischer Bankpersonalverband

The Schweizerischer Bankpersonalverband (SBPV), in English the Swiss Bank Employees Association, represents people who work in the Swiss financial industry. Founded in 1918, the association is based in Zurich.

Together with the Kaufmännischer Verband Schweiz, it is the employee-side social partner of Arbeitgeber Banken. The two sides have agreed on the conditions of employment for bank staff (VAB) and on rules for recording working time.

Members get individual legal advice, support during restructurings, salary information, career and training offers and the GIRO magazine. The association also supports staff representatives, for example with online seminars for employee committees. Its webinars deal with topics such as the effects of artificial intelligence on bank employees or the findings of the Swiss HR Barometer.
