EPFL Innovation Park

EPFL Innovation Park is a science park on the EPFL campus in Lausanne. It is run by the Fondation EPFL Innovation Park, a foundation separate from the university that was set up in 1991. The first building opened in 1993.

The park hosts startups, SMEs, research teams and the innovation units of large companies. It belongs to Switzerland Innovation Park Network West EPFL, part of the national Switzerland Innovation network. In 2018 it counted more than 2,250 employees, 116 startups and 26 large companies.

Its incubator La Forge supports early-stage startups with links to EPFL. The park also runs acceleration programmes such as Tech4Trust and the Future of Health Grant, which it founded with the health insurer CSS in 2022. Since 2011 it has held Pizzas & Startups evenings, where four startups pitch three to four times a year.
