BioAlps

BioAlps is the life sciences cluster of Western Switzerland. It links universities and research institutes, entrepreneurs, investors, authorities and companies in the cantons of Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Geneva, Valais, Jura and Bern.

Academic and research institutions launched the initiative in 2001. It has been a registered association since 2003. It is supported by the cantons of Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Geneva, Valais and Jura and by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

BioAlps organises the BioAlps Networking Day. Regional "4à6" meetings bring the community together during the year, and the BioAlps Awards recognise work in academia and industry.
