Basel Area Business & Innovation

Basel Area Business & Innovation is the not-for-profit business and innovation promotion agency of the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Jura. It helps companies settle in the region, supports startups, connects companies with research institutions and runs events, workshops and accelerator programmes such as BaseLaunch, DayOne and InnoJura.

The organisation has worked in its current form since 2016. Besides the three cantons, the federal government and private partners support it.

It manages Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area, with sites in Allschwil, on the Novartis Campus and in the Jura. According to its 2025 annual report, its work over ten years contributed to more than 300 company settlements, more than 650 company foundations and over CHF 950 million raised by startups it supported.
