Martin Nydegger has been CEO of Switzerland Tourism since 2018, succeeding Jürg Schmid. The organisation, based in Zurich, markets Switzerland as a holiday and travel destination at home and abroad.
He has spent most of his career in tourism marketing. After various roles in the industry he was director of the tourism organisation Engadin Scuol for six years. He joined Switzerland Tourism in 2005 to run its office in Amsterdam, and from 2008 to 2017 he sat on its executive board as head of business development.
Nydegger holds an Executive MBA in strategic business management and has completed further training in marketing management.
